Easy vegan apple pie

This vegan Pillsbury crescent roll hack makes the perfect vegan apple pie substitute. If you have some vanilla ice cream, to make it a la mode, even better!

Ingredients:

Crescent rolls (1/2 package (8 triangles) makes 1 apple pie)

3 apples: peeled, cored, then sliced (I used Honeycrisps.)

Juice of 1/2 lemon, without seeds

~2 tbsp sugar, of to taste (I only had regular cane sugar, but darker would be even better)

~2 tsp cinnamon powder

~1 tbsp unsalted butter (Earth Balance); optional

Flour/oat flour, as needed 1-2 tbsp oat milk

(For the glaze, I took 1-2 tbsp of powdered sugar, added a tiny bit of oat milk, and mixed it until it was runny enough to drizzle. If it’s not mixing well, then add a tiny bit more milk.)

Follow the baking instructions on the packaging, which are to bake at 375°F, for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
